Hoop of Metis is an independent lifestyle team of creative hoopers, drafted in 2026 in Paris. We design elevated off-court basketball apparel — a wardrobe built for the ones who understand that style, like the game itself, is read before it's explained.

Where it started
The name comes from Metis, the Greek goddess of cunning intelligence — and from a move. The no-look pass: head goes one way, ball goes the other, and the play is decided before anyone realizes there was a play. It's the least athletic gesture in basketball, and the hardest one to fake. That contradiction — quiet, precise, impossible to copy — became the whole idea behind the brand.

Hoop of Metis creates vintage-inspired basketball streetwear rooted in the boxy '90s silhouettes made iconic by Michael Jordan's off-court wardrobe — loose tees or polos, tucked at waist size for a structured waist, wide-leg trousers, and quiet accessories, all built around basketball terms or minimalist illustrations of basketball move silhouettes.

From our rookie collection, which embodies our roots, to the ones that follow — we make moves live through us.

The Hoop of Metis name is born from Metis, Greek goddess of cunning intelligence, echoing its founder's favourite move: the no-look pass.
